Since APM's humble beginning in 1964, our family has maintained a commitment to take care of each other and our customers. Francis G. Kreer, along with his son and daughter, founded our company. Our first year in business, we barely grossed $16,000 to split between four people. (Each partner had their own families to provide for!). Through hard work and commitment to our customers, our company began to grow. Our reputation for honesty and exceptional customer service spread throughout our community. Throughout the years and even decades, Advanced Pest Management grew one customer at a time, one service at a time. Since 1964, we have strived to perform each pest and termite service with safety in mind. Thorough, effective service with a professional attitude are hallmarks of our employees. Our Team Leaders
Philip G. Kreer, Founder
Philip G. Kreer became the founder of APM when he purchased the Elkton Exterminating Company from his father Francis in 1972. He grew the company on a business model focused on strong customer relations, a core value that continues to make APM a standout in the field. In 1976 he began purchasing local pest control companies who shared his philosophy of placing their customers first. In that year, APM purchased its first acquisition, Ajax Termite and Pest Control. This would be the first of many acquisitions and over the next 25 years, APM would purchase more than 23 companies and expand its service area to include Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
In a successful career spanning several decades, Philip has proven himself to be an astute businessman, steering the company through industry changes and challenges alike. His m otivation has never been singular—in his own words, Philip has said he realized from the start that the business was helping to “improve people’s lives and give them peace of mind.” He retired in 2006, satisfied that he had honored his father's dream of expanding the company based on the principles on which it was founded. Prior to his career with APM, he served as a major in the U.S. Army, completing a tour of duty in Vietnam. Philip holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Tusculum College in Greeneville, TN and an MBA from Wilmington University in Wilmington, Delaware.
Jeremy Kreer, Chief Executive Officer
Jeremy Kreer joined the company at the age of 15, learning the business from the ground up, working in various positions. This first-hand experience coupled with the tutelage of his father gave him the know-how and confidence to take over in 2003 as owner and CEO. He has led the company to new heights through innovation and technology, while holding true to the core values of the business that his grandfather and father did before him. Under Jeremy’s leadership, APM has utilized the power of small business acquisitions to improve the density in and around the company’s operating communities.
Jeremy is a member of the Leadership Development Group for the National Pest Management Association and serves as a regular speaker and advocate for the pest management industry. He holds a degree in business management from Wilmington University and lives in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania with his wife Jadine and their four children Jackson, Owen, Gavin and Caroline.
James Foley, Chief Operating Officer
James is APM’s Chief Operating Officer. In this role, he oversees the company’s services, employee base and fiscal operations. His career began working for the U.S. Department of Defense doing research and development for the Army Research Laboratory, a role he stayed in for 14 years before starting with APM in 2000. Prior to his current role, James worked in various positions at APM in technical services, sales, branch and regional management, and wildlife division management. He has a background in electronics and currently lives in Rising Sun, MD.
Debbie Krimm-Long, Operations Coordinator
Debbie is APM’s Operations Coordinator, overseeing the day-to-day operational needs of APM branches. She came to APM in 2008, working first as the office coordinator for the Baltimore branch and later as the office manager. Debbie worked at the Baltimore branch until 2016 when she joined the corporate office in Elkton, MD as an operations coordinator. She has over 20 years of experience in business management, customer service and sales.
